The Bourbon County Public Works Department is accepting applications for a Public Works Foreman. The duties of this position include assisting the Public Works Director with the, responsibility of the entire Public Works budget, overseeing the daily operations of the road and bridge department, which include but are not limited to; rock crushing operations, the over laying and maintenance of hard surface roads and maintenance of all county-maintained gravel roads in Bourbon County. Also, the Public Works Foreman will assist the Director in overseeing the Transfer Station as well as the Noxious Weeds Department. The applicant must be willing to work nights and weekends as this is a 24 hour, 7 days a week on call position. The applicant must reside in Bourbon County or be willing to relocate within (6) months. A Class A CDL will be required within (6) months of the hire date. The successful candidate will be required to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol screening test and a pre-employment physical. The Southeast Kansas Regional Correctional Center, Bourbon County, Kansas, is accepting applications for a full time correctional officer.
