- Bourbon County is conscious about the
environment. We have a recycling program to allow citizens to
take certain items to a recycling center on Saturdays. The
following items are accepted:

- Newspaper
|
- Magazines
|
- Cardboard
|
- Aluminum Cans
|
- Plastic Bottles (no lids)
|

- Items must be separated by type and no
plastic bags are allowed. Also, please do not use the recycling
program for trash.

- The recycling trailers travel on
Saturdays to cities in Bourbon County and are in Fort Scott the third
Saturday of each month. Here is the schedule for 2012. Times are 8:00 am
